Korea’s Most Expensive Multi Balm? Move Over PDRN, This Kahi Balm Is Made With Caviar

Last Updated on December 11, 2025

A caviar-infused, beluga-fermented multi balm that costs more than some people’s monthly skincare budget? That’s right, it exists. Is it bougie nonsense or bougie brilliance though? Spoiler: if you love the original KAHI Wrinkle Bounce Balm, this is its grown-up, prestigious sibling. The star? Beluga caviar from Korea’s coast, fermented into a concentrated anti-aging oil that KAHI calls K-Fillen. It’s definitely making my skin glow.

If you’re curious about what makes the Cavi Balm special, when to use it, and whether it’s worth adding to your routine, here’s your deep dive:

Who is KAHI?

If you’ve ever seen a K-drama star swipe a balm stick over their cheeks before running out the door, it was probably KAHI. The brand launched in 2020 and quickly became known for portable multibalm sticks that blend hydration, elasticity care, and makeup-friendly glow.

KAHI started the “untact beauty” (언택트뷰티) trend. Previously sticks were mainly sun creams or quick make-up applicators, but KAHI created multi-balm sticks that were simultaneously serums, essences, and moisturizers in one. Now, of course you see these all over and every brand tries to create one, but KAHI was the first.

What is the KAHI Cavi Balm?

The KAHI Cavi Balm is a premium multi-care lifting balm designed to improve firmness, smooth fine lines, and add lasting moisture throughout the day. It’s part of KAHI’s luxury “Cavi” line and contains a high concentration of K-Fillen oil (150,000 ppm), which is derived from fermented Korean beluga caviar.

Think of it as KAHI’s most anti-aging-focused balm. It promises firmer skin, a lifted look, and smoother texture wherever you apply it. The formula blends nourishing plant oils, fermented extracts, ceramides and peptides, plus caviar and marine collagen.

The formula leans nourishing, barrier-supportive, and elasticity-focused and includes things like:

  • Botanical oils for deep moisture: Sunflower, macadamia, sweet almond, rice bran, and shea butter
  • Fermented complexes: Candida/Garcinia, Bacillus ferment
  • Elasticity and wrinkle care: Caviar extract, ceramide NP, adenosine, tripeptide-10, hydrolyzed collagen
  • Antioxidants and botanicals: Cranberry, turmeric, pomegranate, gardenia
  • Skin-barrier helpers: Proteoglycan, sodium DNA, lecithin

What To Know About K-Fillen Oil

KAHI describes caviar as the “black diamond of the sea”, and this balm certainly leans into that luxury energy. KAHI leans so hard into caviar, they even host free caviar tastings at their store in Gangnam.

What makes K-Fillen special?

  • 15% K-Fillen concentration. This high concentration supports elasticity and helps skin look firmer and smoother.
  • K-Fillen is a caviar oil created through fermentation, a process Koreans love for its ability to improve absorption.
  • Uses domestically produced prestige beluga caviar, giving the formula a uniquely Korean origin story.
  • Targets elasticity, lifting, 3D contour care, and deep wrinkle smoothing.

Did you know: The Almas caviar used at Kahi comes from a sustainable sturgeon farm in Chungju City, Chungcheongbuk-do. It is an ideal environment for sturgeon farming with an abundant water supply, an appropriate water temperature, and excellent water quality. Almas Caviar‘s sustainable production techniques play a crucial role in preserving sturgeon resources, maintaining long-term ecological balance, and ensuring a stable supply of high-quality caviar.

My Thoughts

The Cavi Balm definitely feels richer than the original KAHI balm (which I LOVE), both in texture and results. It easily glides on and is comfortable to wear, but definitely feels more nourishing. There is a soft aroma, I want to say it sort of smells like a light baby powder. It reminded me of something I smell on babies. It wasn’t overpowering, just light and comforting.

I found this balm worked best for me in my night time routine because it does sort of sit on the skin and feel a bit tacky taking its time to be absorbed. Once it does sink into the skin, in the morning I found my skin was supple, hydrated, and my fine lines did seem to look less pronounced.

Let’s be honest, no balm is going to magically pull your face upward, but i did notice that my skin was plumper. I really liked the outcome, but wouldn’t want to put it on in the morning and try to wear it beneath makeup.

To be perfectly honest, I don’t know why everyone is talking about PDRN right now when this exists. It’s an absolute game changer. I will be honest and say I didn’t just use the balm, but I tested the entire Cavi Blue line and think KAHI is keeping their best line a bit of a secret. Yes, it costs more than their most well-known line, but it is luxurious and really made my skin look amazing.
