Who is Kahi?
Introduced in 2020, Kahi is a Korean skincare company that has become one of the hottest beauty brands in Korea since they debuted. The name, Kahi, is a combination of the first and last letters in the Hangul alphabet. Their philosophy is “beauty with skincare” and they hope to revitalize the natural power of the skin through their products. They look for solutions in the simplest ways. A no fuss, no muss sort of attitude when it comes to creating skincare products that will make life.. or maybe your skincare routine simpler.
They adeptly jumped on.. or started, the “untact beauty” (언택트뷰티) trend that came out of Covid. While previously sticks were mainly sun creams or quick make-up applicators, now the offerings have been expanded with multi-stick balms for serums, essences, and moisturizers and that can be credited back to Kahi.
Today, consumers are looking for easy-to-use, easy-to-apply, quick and convenient products and that is what Kahi is making. Prior to Covid, Kahi had already done all of their product testing and prepared to launch and as luck would have it, just as Covid kicked off and people were staying home, simplifying routines and forgoing make-up, Kahi kicked off. It was serendipitous perhaps. Serendipitous for all of us really though.
Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Moisturizing Multi Balm Stick Review
Type: Moisturizing Balm
Key ingredients: Salmon collagen, Jeju fermented oil, plant extracts, antioxidants, Filmexel seaweed biofilm technology

The most viral Kahi product, online searches for this balm went from 100,000 to 12 million in a single year. It’s formulated to stimulate collagen production, restore elasticity, and create a long-lasting moisture barrier. The Filmexel technology creates a protective seaweed biofilm over the skin to lock hydration in and block external damage.
The balm promises to reduce the look of fine lines and wrinkles and you can use it everywhere from your face to your neck and any other place you’re worried about.
When To Use: Last step in your skincare routine, morning or evening.
My Thoughts: The balm comes in an easy to twist-up stick format for mess-free application and easy to carry storage. The balm goes on easily and has a moist finish. It’s not exactly sticky or tacky, but you can feel it. Being in the stick form makes it very easy to put on. It does have an aroma that I found pleasing personally. It’s not too strong if aromas bother you, but there is a slight one. I generally found this easiest to apply in my nighttime routine. With dry skin myself, I found this to be very hydrating when left on overnight.

What I found interesting about this product is that as I was working on a trends report a few months ago and came across this product for the first time, it was all about how Koreans were using this to simplify their routines. It took me a bit of adjustment time to see how to do that, but it really does offer that capability. As a person with little time for skincare routines, this did decrease my steps but amp up the hydration so I didn’t feel like I needed much else.
My skin was plump, supple, and very hydrated each morning after wearing throughout the night. I was really amazed by the results honestly. I’m interested to see how this does in the winter when my skin is especially dry and needy.
Buy, Skip, or Try: Buy, especially for dry skin or anyone wanting to simplify their routine without sacrificing hydration.
Where To Buy: You can buy the Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Moisturizing Multi Balm Stick on Olive Young, on Amazon, on YesStyle, and on Sylevana.

Kahi Seoul Eye Balm Review
Type: Eye area balm
Key ingredients: Salmon collagen, salmon PDRN, Schisandra berries, carrot root extract, beta carotene, carrot seed oil, Jeju fermented oils, oil-soluble licorice extract
The Kahi Seoul Eye Balm is a targeted balm for the eye area to help hydrate the skin and help manage wrinkles around the eyes specifically. These Jeju fermented oils are quick absorbents that prevent oily skin and prevents dehydration from the starum cornea. There is oil-soluble licorice extract for skin whitening. This eye balm is promoted as helping with everything from Crow’s Feet to dark circles.

When to use: Any time, before or after makeup, morning, evening, or throughout the day.
My Thoughts: More and more I’ve noticed wrinkles around my eyes. Coming up on 40 will do that I suppose. I really appreciate the stick aspect of this eye balm. It’s super easy to apply without getting anything on my fingers. There was no irritation. As someone who is seeing the wrinkles, I’m really interested in eye balms. And of course as a busy mom, dark circles are just normal at this point. My eye area is definitely more plump, supple, and looks less tired after using this balm. It’s a long-lasting balm too which I really appreciate. I applied in the evenings and throughout the day and loved the effects. I will definitely keep using this.
Buy, Skip, or Try: Buy. I liked it though if I were only going to buy one Kahi balm, I’d buy the multi balm above first.
Where To Buy: You can buy the Kahi Seoul Eye Balm on Olive Young, on Amazon, on YesStyle, or on Stylevana

Ingredients: Sunflower seed oil, polyglyceryl-2 triisostearate, candelilla wax, sweet almond oil, apple seed oil, triethylhexanoin, cupua seed butter, octyldodecanol, microcrystalline wax, oil-soluble licorice extract, Vitamin tree oil, Orchid root extract, Indian mulberry leaf extract, drumstick seed oil, Tara fruit extract, Bacillus ferment, Candida/Garcinia ferment, Cotony extract, Rice germ oil, Schisandra extract, Hydrolyzed collagen, Borage root extract, monoginasa flower extract, Arabian jasmine flower extract, turmeric root extract, tocopherol, adenosine, purified water, propanediol, glycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, butylene glycol, citric acid, ethylhexyl Glycerin, acetylhexapeptide-8, water-soluble proteoglycan, sodium DNA, fragrance, benzyl benzoate, hexylcinnamal, benzyl salicylate, hydroxycitronellal, citronellol, linalool, alpha-isomethylionone, gardenia extract
Kahi Seoul Kisstin Balm Review
Type: Tinting multi-balm (eyes, cheeks, lips)
Key ingredients: Salmon complex, Jeju fermented oil, oil-soluble licorice extract
This blush balm is for eyes, cheeks, and lips. It’s a quick pink dewy touch up multi-stick that contains salmon complex to boost skin elasticity and moisture levels as well as Jeju fermented oil to prevent dehydration in the skin.

When to use: After skincare as a touch-up. Not designed as a full makeup product.
My Thoughts: If you’re someone who doesn’t wear much make-up or is going for that look of not wearing much make-up, this is a great product. It adds a natural pink flush to the cheeks… or eyes, or lips… wherever you choose to put it. It has a bit of a glassy look. It’s great if you’re on the go or just jumping onto a Zoom call real quick and need some touch ups. Since we’re still wearing masks here in Korea, I did notice that it rubs off onto the mask quite easily so it’s better to touch up when you won’t be putting on a mask. They promote it as a retouch stick, so they’re up front with what it’s ideal for.
Buy, Skip, or Try: Try, good for the right use case, less useful if you want lasting color.

Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Collagen Moisturizing Mist Review
Type: Ampoule mist
Key ingredients: 86.5% salmon collagen extract, hydrolyzed collagen, 9 types of hyaluronic acid, adenosine, niacinamide
The Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Collagen Moisturizing Mist is formulated with 86.5% salmon collagen extract along with hydrolyzed collagen and 9 types of hyaluronic acid to promote anti-aging care and long-lasting hydration. The key ingredients include the collagen extract that increases elasticity, strengthens the skin barrier, and hydrates the skin.
The hydrolyzed collagen firms the skin and promotes anti-aging. The hyaluronic acid deeply hydrates the skin, plumps, and helps to decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. And then adenosine decreases the appearance of wrinkles.

When to use: Any time throughout the day when skin feels tight or dry. Hold approximately 6 inches from the face and spray evenly.
My Thoughts: This is a lovely fine light mist with a light scent that left my skin dewy and fresh feeling. I tend to use mists a bit more in the winter when I’m feeling especially dry throughout the day. You can mist anytime for smoother, hydrated skin. There was a light scent but I liked it personally. I loved this mist. I haven’t used a mist in awhile, actually I think the Aqulabo Jelly Mist was the last one I used regularly. Mists seem to be something I forget I love. This one has been just appealing and rather addicting.

Kahi Cream Cleansing Foam Review
Type: Foam cleanser
Key ingredients: Salmon collagen, salmon PDRN, anti-dust patented ingredients, niacinamide, lactobacillus ferment complexes
This foam cleanser contains anti-dust patented ingredients to remove impurities and dirt including fine dust deeply inside of the pores and leaves a very moisturized complexion. The foam is meant to deeply cleanse the skin while fortifying the skin barrier to prevent moisture loss. The cleanser is infused with salmon collagen and salmon PDRN to increase the synthesis of collagen in the skin to restore the elasticity of the skin effectively.

When to use: Morning and/or evening as the first step in your cleansing routine.
My Thoughts: First of all, you only need a tiny bit of this cleanser and it produces ample amounts of foam cleanser. Just a tiny amount gently cleans the entire face and left my face feeling very soft and supple after use. Some cleansers give you that squeaky clean feeling, this one left my skin very moist and firm which I really enjoyed. I’ve used foam cleansers before that dried out my skin, but this one was completely opposite. If you have dry skin, I definitely recommend this. I love this cleanser.
Buy, Skip, or Try: Buy, particularly recommended for dry or sensitive skin.
Where To Buy: You can buy the Kahi Cream Cleansing Foam on Olive Young, on Amazon, on YesStyle, or on Stylevana

Kahi Wrinkle Bounce Blemish Essential Suncream SPF 50+ PA++++ Review
Type: Sunscreen
Key ingredients: SPF 50+ PA++++, salmon collagen, salmon PDRN, 9 types of hyaluronic acid, blue light protection, fine dust protection
This sunscreen protects the skin from UV rays, blue light, and fine dust and aims to prolong makeup adherence. Infused with salmon collagen and salmon PDRN to increase the synthesis of collagen in the skin to restore the elasticity of the skin, there are also 9 kinds of hyaluronic acid to form a moisture barrier.

When To Use: Apply 20-30 minutes before going outside. Re-apply every 2 to 3 hours.
My Thoughts: It’s light and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling after use. It easily absorbs into the skin. There is no white cast after application and it doesn’t bother the eyes when using either. It’s very smooth and moisturizes while protecting which I found really appealing. Some sun creams seem to dry out my skin after use but I found this sun screen to be hydrating.
