Travel Tips For Gyeonggi-do

  • Great Year-Round: There are plenty of reasons to enjoy traveling in Gyeonggi-do in every season. If you want to see snow, leave the city and visit some nearby cities that get more snow. In the summer, head out to the coast or a great river or stream. Cherry blossoms, autumn foliage… there’s so much to enjoy throughout the year.
  • Excellent Subway System: The Seoul Subway System is massive and reaches into quite a few areas of Gyeonggi-do since it surrounds the capital of the country. Make sure your T-Money Card is topped up and you are ready for an adventure.
  • You Might Need To Take The Bus: While some areas of Gyeonggi-do are very accessible, there are still areas that aren’t as easy to get to via subway. Bus is better and even still, a car might be best for some areas. You can count on some hidden gems just outside of Seoul.
  • North Or South: Gyeonggi-do is split by the Han River and Seoul at the center. There are mountains to the north and plains to the south. Southern Gyeonggi-do is more populated while the north is more natural and spread out. Consider that when you want to plan a trip.
