Last Updated on April 24, 2026

One of Korea’s best springtime events is back. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur in Seoul or Busan, or simply looking for a luxurious way to enjoy the season, the 2026 New Zealand Wine Festival hosted by the New Zealand Kiwi Chamber of Commerce Korea is not to be missed.

Returning for its 27th year in Busan and 26th in Seoul, this year’s theme is “Where Wine Meets Art,” celebrating wine not only as a drink but as a craft shaped by terroir and time. With over 20 wineries from New Zealand pouring their best, paired with exquisite cuisine and a garden or seaside backdrop, all you have to decide is: Seoul, Busan… or both?

What To Expect in 2026

Each year, the New Zealand Wine Festival introduces new labels and first-time participating wineries, showcasing the best of Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs, Central Otago Pinot Noirs, and aromatic whites from Canterbury and Hawke’s Bay. Even for returning guests, there is always something new to pour over. This is especially exciting when you consider that these are wines that are not available anywhere else in Korea yet. This is your time to try something before anyone else.

Pair your wine with:

  • A Kiwi-style gourmet BBQ in Seoul
  • A five-star buffet and fresh seafood spread in Busan
  • Live DJ sets to keep the energy flowing
  • Captivating Maori Haka performances
  • A thrilling lucky draw, including a round-trip ticket to New Zealand

Add in premium cheese platters, photo zones, and good company, and it’s easy to see why this festival continues to grow year after year.

Pro tip: Bring cash for the raffle, a camera for golden-hour shots, and a healthy appetite. I’ve been going for years, and every festival brings something new to love and a crowd of friendly, welcoming people.

Everyone Is Welcome

Since its launch in 2009, the New Zealand Wine Festival in Korea has become a signature event for the Kiwi Chamber, celebrating wine, culture, and connection. As New Zealand ranks among the top wine exporters to Korea, the festival is both a celebration and a showcase for quality, sustainability, and Kiwi hospitality.

If you’ve never been to a wine festival before, don’t let that stop you. This isn’t a stuffy industry event. You don’t need to know much about wine at all. It’s a friendly, consumer-focused gathering for enthusiasts and newcomers alike. Come to taste, learn, mingle, and soak up the atmosphere. You’ll leave with a better appreciation for New Zealand wine and maybe even a few new friends.
