Evelyn Santos found her passion in the field of social work by experiencing the immensely rewarding experience to promote resilience and address barriers to children and families. In hopes of making a meaningful impact, she wants to become a licensed clinical social worker to continue providing a safe, open, and non-judgemental environment for children and families to thrive by equipping them with resources to navigate life. I saw firsthand what a difference this makes, not just for the roughly 180 people who show up around 5:00pm for food and supplies, but for the volunteers themselves.
