Who Is Seoulbox?

Founded in 2019, Seoulbox is one of the top snack subscription box companies in Korea. While Seoulbox is known as a snack box, it actually contains K-Beauty products and K-pop merchandise as well as lots and lots of snacks. 

Two friends, Suji Sohn and Raj Sathi, were living abroad and when Suji tried to introduce Raj to some of her favorite snacks from home. Unfortunately, she just couldn’t find the ones she wanted to show off and so an idea was born. Now the team has grown into a pretty international group of people looking to promote Korean snacks to the world and they package the goods right in the heart of Seoul in Hongdae.

What We Got

The boxes are lovingly packaged to the brim with a ton! We were provided with three boxes to test out for this review. We got two Seoulbox Signatures (One from September and one from August) as well as a Seoulbox Life.

There were some real winners in this box for me. I LOVE Korean Cinnamon drink but had never had the canned version. I’ve always had it at tea houses so never thought to buy it this way. LOVED IT!

Our Review

We really enjoyed the boxes we received from Seoulbox. There was something for everyone in our family which was fun. There were some good options for the maybe eating with a beer in the evening if you’re a my husband type, but some candy that our daughter enjoyed. The K-beauty products were up my alley and I even got into trying some snacks that I’ve never tried before… even after living in Korea for 15 years.

It was definitely something fun to open up together and decide who gets what. We enjoyed it and think you would too. We LOVE subscription box fun.

Pros:

• Jam Packed: Loved that we opened the box and there was no extra space. They load it up and the way it’s packaged definitely makes you feel like you’re getting a bang for your buck. It’s a lot in a box.
• Interesting Products: I liked that there was something for everyone. Quite an assortment of sweet, spicy, and salty snacks which meant everyone could find something they liked. It was also good to have things we’d never tried before.
• Great Information: I really appreciated that there is a magazine included with information about every single product. The packaging on Korean products can be confusing for people that can’t read Korean so I thought this was really helpful and useful for a lot of people and makes the products more approachable if you want to try.
• Great Price: I think it’s reasonably priced for what you get inside.

Cons:

• Misspelled Words & Issues With the Magazine: Just being picky really because I am a writer, but there were some misspelled words in the magazine that they provide with the information. For example, “Pororo the Little Penguin Cheese Crackers” was spelled “Pororo the LIttel Penguine Cheese Crackers”.

Overall, we think this is fun box if you’re a Korean snack lover or want to be. It’s got a lot and the products are unique and interesting. We enjoy a good subscription box, what about you? You can find out more about Seoulbox here.
