Mizon Phyto Plump Collagen Day Cream Review

What is in the Phyto Plump Collagen line by MIZON?

The Phyto Plump Collagen line is meant to encourage a more youthful look by hydrating the skin with collagen. The entire line is vegan and can heal skin irritation and decreased elasticity through Tremellan-MC Extract, which suppresses free radicals, increases the synthesis of collagen and moisturizes deep within the skin, Brown Algae Complex, helpful for retaining moisture and his high in proteins, and D-panthenol, a provitamin of D-pantothenic acid that provides deep and long lasting moisturization, heals irritation and abrasions and improves luster and shine.

MIZON Packaging

I wanted to bring special notice to the packaging. For all of their products they’re using easily removable labels so that there is no sticky residue and the bottles can be recycled more easily. On top of that, the labels use soy ink which reduces VOCs and makes the label easier to decompose. I appreciate this push in Korea by many skincare brands to be more eco-friendly.

MIZON Phyto Plump Collagen Toner Review

What is it? Toner

This toner is meant to be a daily use hydrating toner to help contain oil production and soothe irritated skin. It is said to boost collagen production, reduce wrinkles,, and prevent pigmentation while also helping to improve skin elasticity with the use of Tremella Polysaccharides and intensively hydrating through the use of Brown Algae Complex and Chia Seed.

When to use it: Apply after cleansing the skin

My Thoughts

I found this toner to be immediately moisturizing and soothing. It felt so good on. After cleansing my face, I poured some into my hand and patted onto my face. There was no greasy leftover feeling but felt like a light gel that simply glided over and then into the skin. It’s not a watery toner, more of an essence which is just how I like my toners. It really locks in the moisture.

I used it in both my day and night routines and was rewarded with skin that was hydrated and happy throughout the day. I tend to have dry skin and really liked how this toner felt on. Would definitely purchase again.

MIZON Phyto Plump Collagen Serum Review

What is it? Serum

This vegan serum is meant to plump the skin and provide a natural glow using a blend of plant-based proteins to improve appearance and provide a hydration boost. The collagen and adenosine are proven anti-agers and help to decrease the fine lines, wrinkles, and dry patches. The brown algae complex is intensely hydrating and helps to create a skin barrier, and the betaine, tocopherol, and panthenol are moisturizing powerhouses in this soft gel like serum.

When to use it: Apply after cleansing and toner either day or night.

My Thoughts

This serum is lightweight and easy to apply in both day and night. It’s more concentrated and a bit thicker than the toner but lighter than a gel in consistency and if you’re looking for a more dewy plumpness, this will provide that. I didn’t detect any aromas or scents during application. It is easily absorbed into the skin, but doesn’t completely disappear. It seems to create a layer on the surface and kept my skin hydrated throughout the day. I think this serum provided a more refreshed and plump look. It’s a serum that easily fit into my routine and I used consistently. A lot of serums I use for specific reasons or times, this was an overall winner that fit in nicely every day.

Mizon Phyto Plump Collagen Day Cream Review

My Thoughts

The day cream was a bit surprising because it wasn’t a “cream” as I pictured it but was more of a gel like substance and feel. It’s a very lightweight cream in that sense and had a sort of cooling effect along with the hydration. It did not leave any tacky residue for me and worked well under makeup during the day. A little really goes a long way with this cream I noticed as well. I definitely took a couple fingertip sizes at first and it was more than enough for my face, neck, and hands. It’s emollient and moisturizes really well for my skin. Again, I have dry skin. I did notice in other reviews that some people with nomral skin thought this gel cream was a bit sticky. I personally didn’t have that feeling at all. I didn’t notice any aroma or scent in this product much like the others.

Mizon Phyto Plump Collagen Night Cream Review

My Thoughts

I tend to have dry skin especially in the winter and night creams are a saving grace when it’s the right one. This cream was just what my skin needed. Without even applying much, my face was instantly moisturized. The night cream had more of that heavy cream or overnight mask feeling and was very luxurious feeling. It went on easily and really left my skin hydrated and soft and supple when I awoke in the morning. I found it was really all I needed in the evening after cleansing and applying toner. There is no discernible scent or aroma which is a great bonus as I don’t tend to enjoy a lot of fragrance on things going on my face. I would definitely by this again. My dry skin loved it and so do I.

MIZON Phyto Plump Collagen Eye Patches Review

What is it? Eye Patch

Filled with collagen amino acids to restore and improve skin elasticity by boosting collagen production and reduce wrinkles, these eye patches also utilize three types of hyaluronic acid and panthenol for intense hydration. They also have seaweed extract, sargassum extract, centella asiatica extract, Irish moth extract, and tocopherol and soothes with allantoin.

When to use it: Apply for 5-10 minutes before makeup and after other steps in your skincare routine.

Mizon Phyto Plump Collagen Eye Patches Review

My Thoughts

I don’t use eye patches that often in my routine. I generally forget them when they’re on my shelf to be honest. Once I started using these though, I didn’t want to go back to not using them. The silicone is cooling and sits comfortably beneath the eye though did have some tendency to slip down a bit if I was moving around too much. It sort of made me sit back and slow down for a bit each morning before I started the day because of that which isn’t a bad thing at all. I felt my under eyes had a more refreshed and brightened look provided by that plumpness. I didn’t notice any aroma or scent and would continue using them whenever I’m feeling like my dark circles are getting the best of me.
