Korean Stationary Stores and Art Supply Stores In Seoul

While I’ve visited plenty a stationary supply store in Seoul for basic necessities like printer paper and notebooks, it wasn’t until my daughter aged into the “must-have-the-cutest-everything” phase that I really delved into the stationary stores in Seoul. There are definitely stores that cater to the standard needs and stores that cater to the everything cute crowd so let’s break it down.

Korean stationary makes a perfect gift for friends and family back home and a charming addition to any desktop so make sure you know where to go, if you want the cute or chic-designed items versus the standard notebooks for school.

What to know

What you can find in stationary stores and art supply stores in Korea can vary depending on the brand but also you can find a ton of local mom-and-pop stationary stores and the families that run them get to choose what they stock. If you just need some notebooks and pens real quick, look for the nearest school because there are always little stationary shops near schools for the kids who are going to and fro every day.

When it comes to the big shops, even those won’t be like the huge Hobby Lobbys you’ll find in the US. My sister introduced my daughter to Hobby Lobby on our last trip to the US and we came back with a bagful of projects. The stores are just different in Korea and while they have a ton of awesome products, they are different than what you might be used to.
