Cheap Infinity Pool In Seoul: Take Your Kids This Summer
Are you ready to get outside and go swimming this summer in Seoul? The Nanji Water Playground (๋์งํ๊ฐ๋ฌผ๋์ด์ฅ) is probably the cheapest infinity pool in Seoul, Korea or anywhere else for that matter. And on top of that, it’s family friendly!
If you want a great Han Riverside pool for kids, this is great. Let’s get swimming this summer in Seoul. There are quite a few awesome pools that sit along the Han River, but this is the only one, that I’m aware of, that is set up to emulate a beach slope heading out and then stops just short of the Han River. It’s picturesque, it’s fun, and it will cool you off this summer in Seoul.ย

What To See and Do
This pool is set in the World Cup Parks area which is one of my favorite parks in the city and is definitely under appreciated as a whole. The wooden deck at this pool has umbrellas provided and are first come first serve. People sitting on that platform can only use the umbrellas provided. From there, there are concrete steps going up to a secondary platform that has no covering.
On this platform, families bring their own tents to set up for the duration of their time at the pool. Obviously, you do not have to bring tents, but Koreans LOVE their tents and with absolutely no covering, it isn’t ideal for small children so pretty much everyone had a tent, including us.
A bit further back is another wooden deck that is covered by one huge long white umbrella-ish tent-ish cover. Here, many families without tents set up shop though you can’t really get a good view of the pool from there so if you are a parent and want to keep on eye on the young ones, you’d want to be a bit closer than that.
The views from the whole water playground are just stunning. The Han River from morning until evening and the busy city on the south side of the river glisten in the summer sunlight. It’s an ideal location to enjoy a day at the pool, soaking up some rays and getting good and soaked. It is NOT the pool to go to if you want to do laps as the deep end just really isn’t that deep and it’s not straight but a half circle abutting Nanji Park so keep that in mind.
It is perfect for the budget traveler wanting to experience an infinity pool with gorgeous views at a can’t be beat price AND for the families looking for a pool that caters to small children. The pool set up in this fashion is perfect for small children. The entire inner edge that is flanked by a wooden deck is shallow and then gradually gets deeper as it nears the river though doesn’t get more than 4 feet or so.
Lifeguards are always on duty and there is also a convenience store to get everything you need for a good day out. The pool works on a 45 minute swim time, 15 minute break time schedule every hour and is great for the whole family.
If the pool isn’t enough, Nanji Park just behind the pool is great because it also offers a bike park, where you can rent bikes, trikes and more if you don’t ride one there. There are also baseball fields, camping plots and a nearby ecological park and so much more to explore. The whole Nanji Park is a great place to spend a summer day.

The Nanji infinity pool looks like a great place to chill out and banish the summer blues. The fact that it is cheap is the icing on the cake. Would love to head out there.
