The Venue

Hosted at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, the New Zealand Wine Festival extended its venue to include the picturesque poolside area of the hotel this year, adding to the vibrant summer ambiance of the event. With stunning city views from the hotel’s garden, it’s the perfect place to sit back with a glass of sauvignon blanc and take in the summer ahead.ย

The Wine

The festival showcased an extensive selection of wines, with an impressive 50% of them never before presented at the event. One of the best things about this wine festival in Korea is that visitors can try wines they can’t find anywhere else in the country.

Wine enthusiasts were delighted by the opportunity to taste new and exclusive offerings. Wine isn’t the only thing that is delectable though, with barbecued meat, savory pies, and a well-stocked salad bar, no one is going hungry at this event.

Notably, the addition of cauliflower cheese was a delightful surprise for me personally. A dedicated area featuring an assortment of cheeses, nuts, pretzels, grapes, and more also provided the perfect accompaniment to the beverages, creating a delightful culinary experience.

The Entertainment

Entertainment came in the form of contests, one of which was a watermelon speed eating event. Participants lined up, armed with determination, and cheers and laughter emanated from the crowd as the competition commenced. The winner cheered as he emerged triumphant.

The Prizes

But the fun didn’t end there! The festival also hosted an exciting raffle. The anticipation was palpable as lucky winners were drawn one by one and they raced up to collect their prizes. The grandest prizes of them all were two free trips to New Zealand, allowing the winners to experience awe-inspiring landscapes and unforgettable adventures. In addition, skincare products and bottles of booze added a touch of indulgence to the mix, leaving winners beaming with joy.

From Seoul to Busan

If you couldnโ€™t make it to the Seoul festivities, worry not: the festival is making its way to the vibrant city of Busan this Saturday! Make sure to mark your calendars and gather your friends because this is an event you won’t want to miss. Keep an eye out for exciting contests, delectable treats, and a chance to win fabulous prizes. It’s the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the joyful New Zealand spirit and create lasting memories.
