Medicube Triple Collagen Line Review

Well, I’m getting up there y’all. As I head into my, ahem, 40s soon, I’m ever aware of my skin and the changing lines and plumpness and glow… or lack thereof I guess. I was recently given this set by the Korean skincare brand Medicube from a friend and it is promoted to people with mature skin so I guess since I’m getting close to 40 that might be me now. I haven’t used Medicube before so was interested to see how this Triple Collagen Line stood up against some of my favorites. There were hits and there was a miss, sort of, but overall, it is a lovely rich line.

What is Triple Collagen?

Medicube has a Triple Collagen Complex that is made up of hydrolized collagen, atelo collagen, and soluble collagen. This is meant to penetrate the skin faster and deeper into the skin barrier to provide even the deepest skin layers the nutrients to create plump and healthy looking skin.

  • Hydrolized collagen: Helps with skin conditioning and has major moisturizing properties.
  • Atelo collagen: A hydrating agent to hold moisture in to improve skin elasticity.
  • Soluble collagen: Penetrates the skin deeply to create plump, firm skin.

Medicube Triple Collagen Toner Review

What is it? Toner

Also referred to by Medicube as “glass glow essence”, this toner promises supple glowing skin through providing collagen and essential nutrients. Medicube also recommends adding this toner to your cosmetic products so that you can prevent cakey makeup.

When to use it: After cleansing the skin, morning and/or night.

My Thoughts

A thicker formula, I like this kind of toner that just seems to have a bit more substance though that’s not to say it’s heavy by any means. It’s just not one of those watery toners. The texture is lovely and after using, I didn’t notice any stickiness. It’s fairly fast absorbing. It is the extra boost of hydration that my dryer skin always needs. I think it makes my skin softer and smoother after use. I’ve put it into my morning and evening routine and it works well under make-up and as a hydrating boost at night while I sleep.

This toner definitely has a fragrance. It doesn’t bother me, but it is floral so if you don’t like that, you might not like this. I didn’t find it overwhelming, but if you’re sensitive to smells, you might. Other than the fragrance which I know is a deterrent to some people, I would say this is a great toner.

Medicube Triple Collagen Serum Review

What is it? Serum

Meant to nourish dull skin and produce that glass glow, the Medicube Triple Collagen Serum supplies collagen and other essential nutrients to the skin for long lasting suppleness and glow. It’s especially recommended for mature skin so I guess that’s me. The formula is infused with the triple collagen complex to provide supple glowing skin after use.

When to use it: Evening or morning in the routine after toner.

My Thoughts

This serum is lightweight and the texture is lovely and creamy feeling. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves a nice soft feeling and a healthy glow. Just one pump is enough to cover the face and neck and it seems to provide rather immediate hydration. I used this in both the morning and evening and liked it both under make-up and as a hydration boost while I slept. I did think my skin was more plump and showed less aging lines while using and my skin was much brighter after use.

Medicube Triple Deep Erasing Cream Review

What is it? Cream

Meant to nourish dull skin from the inside out for that glass glow. The Medicube Triple Deep Erasing Cream is said to provide hydration and therefore plump skin after use. It’s formulated with hyaluronic acid, collagen, elastin, ceramide, peptides, niacinamide, and cholesterol for moisturization and to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pigmentation.

When to use it: Apply at the end of your skincare routine.

Medicube Triple Deep Erasing Cream Review

My Thoughts

The cream has a really rich thick consistency that I adored. It’s not greasy or oily and glides onto the skin. I like the weight of this product. It’s not a lightweight cream, but more of a heavier one that you know is working while you sleep. I would wake with soft supple skin in the morning after applying this at night. Maybe better as a winter cream due to the heaviness, but I used it from spring through summer in the evenings and it was just lovely.

The cream made my skin so hydrated and moisturized. There is a fragrance with this product as there seems to be across the line which may not work for those sensitive to fragrances though. Other than the scent, I would say this is a definite winner for my mature-ish skin. I’m almost 40 and am noticing more fine lines as the years go on and have noticed less with this product so that is saying something. Though I’ve read that topical collagen doesn’t penetrate the skin, it still seems to provide something that’s working and I’ll take it.

Medicube Collagen Night Wrapping Cream Review

What is it? A sleeping mask

This sleeping mask promises to hydrate your skin and provide a glow and elasticity that the other products in the line don’t. The layer is meant to retain elasticity and provide a smooth that you haven’t felt before.

When to use it: At night before going to bed.

My Thoughts

This was the only product of the four that I wasn’t completely convinced on. Not because of the effects though. More of how to use it effectively. Throughout the reviews, I saw that others have been able to pull off the sleeping pack in large swaths the next morning. I, on the other hand, couldn’t figure out how to do that. While I completely and thoroughly enjoyed the effects of the wrapping cream, it was fairly annoying to pick off in the mornings. I saw a noticeable change in skin elasticity and firmness though.

While I couldn’t get the darn thing off easily, I will say my skin did feel amazingly smooth after use. I haven’t felt that baby smooth skin on my face in ages so that was a nice surprise. I ended up using this again and again for that feeling, but just had to wash it off most days because I couldn’t pick away all of the bits quite enough. It worked, but not quite right as I said.
