Jumiso: Toner, Serum & Cream Review
About a year ago I was introduced to the brand Jumiso through the KBeauty Collective here in Seoul. The collective seeks to promote awesome clean Korean beauty companies and their products.
Jumiso (주미소) is a Korean beauty brand that wants to “give smiles to their customers”. Their name literally means that with the words 주 (ju), to give; and 미소 (miso), smile. Jumiso is a subsidiary of the KBeauty brand Helloskin and the products feature some adorable design and packaging. All of the Jumiso products are manufactured in Korea and their top priority is listening to their customers. All of their products are cruelty-free and vegan friendly too. Want to learn more? Do note that I was gifted all of these products but have used every one of them over the past year and these are all of my own opinions. I was NOT asked to write a review post in exchange but have decided to do one because I’ve really enjoyed these products.

Jumiso All day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Review
What It Is: Serum
The first product I tried from Jumiso a year ago is their All day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing serum. The bright orange bottle was appealing from the get-go on my bathroom shelves. The vegan-friendly product contains 86.14% vitamin tree extract and a niacinamide content of 20,000ppm. Niacinamide is an ingredient that is also known as Vitamin B3 and improves uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, fine lines, and dullness.
If you’re like me and still learning about all of the ingredients and what they do, you might find this interesting. I was looking for Vitamin C and trying to figure out where it was coming from and learned that Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, commonly known as sea buckthorn, is a super source of Vitamin C and is known for reducing free radicals and fighting the signs of aging.
Sea bukthorn also contains fatty acides like Omega 3, 6, 7, 9 that keep skin hydrated and lifted. Suffice to say, it’s a rad ingredient to have in the skincare regime. The description suggests that this is for all skin types and also contains the vitamins A, B, D, E and K as well as the all important vitamin C.
The box explains that the “vitamin serum is a non-water based and high-concentration serum for brightening. Keep skin radiant with the daily vitamin serum. It helps to keep a bright skin tone and have healthy looking skin and balanced skin.”
This also has one of my favorite things to see on the ingredients list, centella asiatica extract, which helps with hydration, fine lines, and dullness too. If you want to add more of this super ingredient into your routine, check out SKIN1004’s Madagascar Centella Toning Toner and Ampoule too.
When To Use: Apply 3-4 drops to the face after cleansing and toner in the morning and night routine. If used twice daily, the 30ml bottle would probably last a bit over a month.
My Thoughts: I enjoyed this from the beginning and got another bottle as soon as the first was finished. The serum isn’t oily, but a little runny which made it easy to spread and was absorbed quickly into my skin which made it great for both the evening routine as well as the morning routine where I followed it up with make-up without a problem.
The serum has a scent but not overpowering. I have dryer skin and I found this product was very comfortable. The toning effect and brightening was spot on for me. This was a very easy product for me to introduce into my routine and I have been using it both in my day and evening routine for the better part of a year now. It’s soothing and lightweight and not irritating. This is by far Jumiso’s stand out product in my opinion.

Jumiso Have A Good Cream Review
What It Is: Cream
This cream immediately intrigued me as it contained snail secretion filtrates and centella extract. I had tried a snail product a few years back from COSRX and was interested in trying more. Note that some people have an allergy to snail products, so be sure to test this on a small spot first to ensure you don’t. Snail secretion filtrates moisturize the skin, boosts elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Centella asiatica extract reduces the appearance of blemishes and pigmentation and maintains glow. This product has 1.05% of the centella asiatica extract when most skin care products have an average of 0.1%. This means that it should work wonders if you’re fighting acne or are prone to redness. This is said to help dry parched skin.
When To Use: After cleansing, you can apply the cream to the face and neck in either the morning or evening routine.
My Thoughts: This did NOT disappoint. The cream is easy to spread and a small amount can go quite a long way. The cream is lightweight and really absorbs into the skin easily and quickly. It’s not oily or heavy like some of my creams. There was a slight cooling sensation after application likely due to the mentha haplocalix extract. I found this cream made my dry skin feel very soft and supple after use. I don’t have too many issues with acne so can’t say how it would effect that though that seems to be one major aspect of this cream, but for me I found this cream made my skin so soft in the morning when applied during my evening routine.

Jumiso All day Vitamin Clean & Mild Facial Cleanser Review
What It Is: Face Wash
This is Jumiso’s newest product that was just launched in January of 2020. This is a low pH product with a pH 5.5 to pH 6.5 which can maintain healthy skin condition results while moisturizing too. This foaming cleanser says it’s suitable for all skin types.
There are some ingredients to note including salicylic acid which deep cleans pores and exfoliates the skin as well as chlorhexidine digluconate which is a preservative and an anti-microbial which means the cleanser might be helpful to control acne. There is also sea buckthorn extract in this product similar to the brightening serum so this is also rich in Vitamin C and E and helps with hydration.
When To Use: Use daily for either or both morning and evening cleansing routine.
My Thoughts: This facial cleanser is a gel and foaming cleanser but I didn’t find it to be overly foamy. It was just enough really. There is a citrus scent which I quite enjoyed but if you’re sensitive to aromas, you might not like it because it’s a bit strong. I only used it in the evenings and found that worked well for my dry skin. I don’t wear a ton of make-up generally and this was able to take all of my make-up off well and left my skin feeling cleansed but not with that squeaky clean feeling that some cleansers leave you with. I personally don’t like that feeling. My skin still felt soft after cleansing.

Jumiso Yes I Am Toner AHA 5% Review
What It Is: Toner
This is a soothing alcohol-free toner which contains AHA ingredients like glycolic acid and lactic acid which exfoliate the skin removing dead skin cells for healthier glowing skin. It’s a cruelty-free toner suitable for all skin types. This toner is a combination of 3.2% glycolic acid and 1.8% lactic acid which are stronger AHA acids. If you have sun damaged skin, this toner will go deep into your pores and remove excess sebum.
This toner also contains houttuynia cordata which is an antibiotic to help prevent infection from blemishes or other skin issues. It also helps to purify and revitalize skin and has powerful detoxing properties.
When To Use: After cleansing, use a generous amount on the face.
My Thoughts: I don’t like acidic toners usually so I wasn’t quite sure I’d be interested in this. I tend to use toners that are more hydrating for my dry skin but I found this to be rather mild for an acidic toner which suited me very well. It is a very watery toner and disappears pretty quickly so as soon as I put it into my palm, I put it on my face. There’s no sticky residue and my skin felt clean and my pores felt and looked tighter which is great, but I was ready for a face mask or a cream after. I appreciated that it doesn’t have an overwhelming scent. I found this toner useful for me every two to three days as I liked using other hydrating toners between.

Jumiso Water Splash Mask Review
What It Is: Sheetmask
Jumiso has five different sheetmasks that I know of and I have two that I’ve used a few times. This mask is meant to help nourish the skin. This masks contains marine plants to retain moisture and nourish the skin as well as shea butter to control water evaporation, phytex G Louts AI from the lotus to help soothe skin, ceramide complex for a smoother appearance, and triple hyaluronic acid to keep moisture in the skin.
When To Use: After cleansing and using toner. Leave on for 10-20 minutes.
My Thoughts: This mask like the other I tried, adhered very well with a light cotton material that was soaked in essence. It was a bit drippy. I found the mouth hole to be a bit small for me, but I often find that with Korean face masks so wasn’t surprised. My skin was definitely hydrated after use and since I have dry skin, I could definitely see and feel the difference.
I think this is great for people that have dry skin like me and really need that hydration boost. I could see my skin was much more supple after using and would definitely get again. If you’re like me and have a little one with you, get them some Shushu & Sassy kid-friendly sheet masks and then you can sheet mask together… that’s what we do anyway.

Jumiso Rich Nourishment Mask Review
What It Is: Sheetmask
This mask is meant to help nourish the skin… if you couldn’t tell from the name. It uses a 100% cotton fabric sheet and contains black ginseng. The mask contains argan oil for skin protection, ceramide complex to make skin appear smoother, and fermented compounds to help revitalize skin.
When To Use: After cleansing and using toner. Leave on for 10-20 minutes.
My Thoughts: I found the mask easily adhered to my face. I put it on and then played with my daughter and had no issues with any slidage or slipping… though that’s also why there’s no photo of me having it on. I’ll get one next time.
It’s a very soft high quality cotton feel and very then which I think helped with adhering so well. It was pretty packed with essence so dripped slightly but not overwhelmingly. There was still a ton of essence left in the package that I used over the next few days. My face felt great, the essence around the edge and on my neck felt a bit tacky though so I washed those areas after use. My skin was very supply and hydrated after use and I would definitely use this one again.
