Instagrammers In Seoul: This One’s For You!
It’s a wonder it took this long for someone to decide to make a business based solely on the -gram. But that is exactly what Instasia (์ธ์คํ์ง์) seems to have done and good on them. Whether you like taking photos as a hobby or taking photos just for that Insta shot, this is the place for you. Instasia is one photo zone after photo zone after photo zone just outside of Seoul in Songdo, Incheon. It’s basically like you stepped into a studio with different sets but instead of getting the expensive photographer that comes with the studio, you have a friend take your photos, bring a tripod… or maybe bring your own expensive photographer… as we noticed one couple did. Why the hell not?

There are more than 15 zones which means there’s bound to be an aesthetic that speaks to you. Chic, quirky, romantic and fun.
I like taking photos and playing with props, so this was definitely a fun stop to make for us on the rainy day that was Saturday. There weren’t too many people coming in and out and most of the customers seemed to be couples on dates, some families and there was even a couple taking wedding pics. You could really have all kinds of fun here but I’d recommend bringing your own props to add to the amusement and maybe a change of clothes if you really want to go all out. I wore white knowing there were tons of varied colors and backdrops and that seemed to work out well for my photos, but feel free to just bring extra clothes with you.
Honestly, this is NOT the place for, in my case, husbands who aren’t interested in photography as a hobby and probably not a stop if you think it’s some sort of Trickeye fun house. It’s good to know what this really is as Arielle from Soju4Two and I were a bit confused about what we were even heading to when we set out Saturday morning. That’s fine for us, but I don’t want anyone being confused or disappointed. This is a great stop if you’re in Songdo, Incheon and want something to do after or before you’ve walked around Songdo Central Park and enjoyed the gorgeous TriBowl for one because that is a true highlight of the area and it’s just across the street.
If you’re in the area this summer and need a break from the heat, head in and then head over to G Tower to catch the sunset views over the ports. Want to take some fun photographs with your friends, lovers or family members on the cheap? This is your spot. As a stop during a day in the area, I think this is worth the W5,000 it took to get inside. There’s currently a deal on Coupang where you can get two entrance tickets for W10,000 and I highly recommend using that offer. The normal entrance fee is W12,000 per person. Take the kids and let them touch the stars. Twirl around with mirrors on all sides until you’re dizzy and toss balloons in the air for that perfect birthday Instagram shot.
From one room that we dubbed to be like touching a beautiful shimmery mermaid’s tail and swimming under the water to jungles and flowers flowers everywhere, there are backdrops galore and they are all what you make them. The ones pictured here are probably only half and it seems like Instasia is still learning and growing. The entrance which is currently super colorful and has the mirrors on all sides was something different just a few months ago. This spot only opened up in December and the floor they are located on still has plenty of space for them to expand and put in more photo zones and backdrops which I hope is the plan because this is really fun and neat if you want to get a group photo, couple shot or something with options without paying a bundle.
Take those photos, have some fun and dance dance dance your way around the floor space.
Some other awesome spots to check out in the Incheon area include the Incheon Chinatown and Fairytale Village and definitely don’t miss a visit to Cafe Valor… if you can find it! Have an awesome time traveling around the area and seeing what you can see!
