Tour Plan Overview

This is an overview of our itinerary. Note that sometimes we may get sidetracked by blooming flowers or fun cafes, but that’s the fun of travel, isn’t it? We like to keep our eyes open and if something speaks to us, we’ll follow that rabbit hole for a bit because the surprises are what make traveling memorable.

Day 1: Hanbok, Palace & Tea

Begin your week dressed in Hanbok at a local studio before exploring Changdeokgung Palace’s Secret Garden and Changgyeonggung Palace. After lunch nearby, we’ll attend a private tea tasting in the Bukchon Hanok Village to sip and savor before heading to Seoul’s oldest traditional market, Gwangjang Market.

Day 2: Sound, Texture & Revival

Learn to cook a Korean meal and eat your delicious creations before heading to Beautiful Gayageum for an intimate experience learning about and trying to play the most iconic traditional Korean instrument. After your musical adventure, head to a studio to craft your own dojang stamp and enjoy free time in Insadong before enjoying a serene Buddhist temple style meal.

Day 3: Ceremonies & Courtyards

Learn about and try on modern Hanbok at Teterot Salon in Ikseon-dong, buy one if you like it, then we’ll have lunch in the area. in the afternoon, witness the Gyeongbokgung Changing of the Guard, and explore Korea’s modern history in Gwanghwamun before walking along Cheonggyecheon Stream and sharing Korean BBQ dinner.

Day 4: Modern Beauty & Cultural Connection

Spend the morning with Fama Ndiaye, diving into inclusive beauty and Korean skincare innovation, then visit a local Korean beauty brand with Fama for an insider look at K-beauty’s creative process and finding out what it can do for your skin. This is the time to ask all of the questions and find out how K-beauty can amp up your skincare routine.

In the evening, we’ll enjoy a traditional Korean alcohol tasting experience with a local sool sommelier before enjoying a delicious dinner nearby.

Day 5: Makers & Markets

Learn the Korean art of bojagi wrapping at Studio Bojagi. You’ll never wrap your gifts the same way again. Next head in to nearby Hongdae to browse local design at Sangsang Madang, watch the street dancers and buskers, and enjoy the vibe before toasting to creativity with traditional sool and food pairings at a local restaurant with a menu of over 200 Korean traditional alcohol options.

Day 6: Design & Wellness

Explore Dongdaemun Design Plaza taking in the architecture and artistic flare, and then spend the afternoon with Seoul Cosmetic Surgery* helping you with everything from facials to lasers and more. End the day with sunset views from Seoul SKY Tower.

Day 7: Reflection & Farewell

For our final day, we’ll take a trip up to the quieter Eunpyeong Hanok Village to reminisce together, enjoy a forest walk and visit Jingwansa Temple, and enjoy a final lunch together before a free afternoon in Seoul.

Who can join this trip?

This trip is geared toward those of drinking age which is 18 in Korea. People that want to enjoy the hidden heritage in Seoul in a more hands-on way.

What if I have special dietary needs?

We try to accommodate as best we can, but because we are eating all together, there are some places which will be difficult to guarantee vegan/halal/gluten-free/etc. options. Restaurants in Korea are often dedicated to one particular cuisine, meaning at a Korean BBQ restaurant, that is just about all they serve. We will always try to ensure that there is food that you can eat though!

How do I make a reservation for two people sharing one room?
