Urang: Four Ampoules Four Reviews

If those Urang bottles don’t attract your attention, I don’t know what will. I won a bottle of the Yuja Vita Ampoule to try many months ago and after that was incredibly interested in this Korean beauty brand. Since, I’ve been able to try the Urang Yuja Vita Ampoule, Urang Cica Soothing Ampoule, Urang Pink Everlasting Ampoule, and the Urang Blue Power Ampoule. Which ones do you think I loved, liked, and could do without?

What To Know About Urang

Urang is a Korean skincare brand with values based on honesty and consciousness. The name Urang is a combination of “Ultimate Radiant” and “Natural Glow”. The founder, Jina Lee, is a mother and holistic aromatherapist. Based on what I’ve read, I’m pretty sure she and I would get on really well if we ever met. She created her skincare line when she was pregnant and she was looking for high quality natural and organic ingredients that were safe for her whole family.

Urang is a cruelty-free brand with vegan product options. They use ingredients that are low hazard and their organic ingredients are certified by the Certified by Soil Association Certification Limited and National Organic Program.

The Packaging

How beautiful is the packaging on these products? They look like little colorful Easter eggs. The frosted glass and muted colors are so appealing, I just loved seeing them lined up on my shelf each morning and evening. Should you get all of them just because they’re aesthetically appealing? No. But, will they make your shelf aesthetically appealing if you get them? For sure.

Urang Yuja Vita Ampoule Review

What is it? An Ampoule

The Yuja Vita Ampoule is a milk ampoule that contains Geoje Island organic Yuja fruit. Yuja, a citrus fruit, is known to be richer in Vitamin C than apples, pears, grapes, and peaches. This ampoule is said to be great for dull and dry skin. The ampoule energizes and brightens skin while decreasing blemishes and dark spots.

The ampoule gives an elasticity boost and evens out the skin complexion. Added B Vitamins and minerals further strengthen, while micro-molecular hyaluronic acid, betaine and glycerin help hydrate and balance the skin’s oil, moisture ratio. The ampoule is formulated without mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, additives, harmful chemicals or preservatives.

When To Use: Morning or evening after cleansing and toning.

My Thoughts: First, if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that I found this smell a bit humorous the first week I was using it. It smells of salty oranges which I couldn’t get over because who eats salt on oranges? But, I asked everyone on Instagram that exact question and lo and behold, people do indeed eat salt on oranges and though I don’t, that is totally what this smells like to me. If you like the smell of citrus or lemon, you’ll like this. I found it very invigorating in the morning.

One thing to know about products that contain citrus, some people may find them a bit too intense for their skin. I didn’t have any issue like that, but it’s something to note if you have sensitive skin. The texture is a milky gel that is light and very refreshing when put on.

This is my favorite of all four of the ampoules that I tried. It gave my skin a very fresh and healthy glow. I have used this for two months without any other Vitamin C products to see if it really does the job. It definitely left my skin feeling more hydrated and healthy.

Where To Buy: You can buy the Urang Yuja Vita Ampoule on Amazon.com or here on Gmarket.com. If you’re in Korea you can also get this on Coupang.

Urang Cica Soothing Ampoule

Urang Cica Soothing Ampoule Review

What is it? An Ampoule

The Cica Soothing Ampoule’s main ingredient is an organic Centella asiatica leaf water. I personally LOVE anything centella. Actually, I should rephrase, my skin loves anything centella. (If you like centella too, check out my review of SKIN1004’s Madagascar Centella Toner and Ampoule.) Centella asiatica extract is known for having abundant healing and skin-strengthening properties.

Using no essential oils and a high concentration of antioxidants, this ampoule helps eliminate dryness and irritation, and uses a low molecular weight hyaluronic acid to restore long-lasting moisture and suppleness in the deepest layers of the skin. Formulated without mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, additives, harmful chemicals or preservatives.

When To Use: Morning or evening after cleansing and toning.

My Thoughts: This ampoule is fragrance free. The texture is quite silky smooth and absorbs quickly. It didn’t feel sticky after application and had a pretty immediate reduction in redness and swelling for my skin. I’ve been getting some redness around the edges of my mask that I have to wear when out and this really helps soothe those areas. It’s light and easy to wear so I use this one consistently in the morning and evening. This is definitely one to repurchase.

Where To Buy: You can buy the Urang Cica Soothing Ampoule on Amazon.com. If you’re in Korea, you’d be better off buying this on Coupang here.

Urang Pink Everlasting Ampoule

Urang Pink Everlasting Ampoule Review

What is it? An Ampoule

The Pink Everlasting Ampoule is one of the most popular ampoules of the line. it is rich in amino acids and antioxidants and is meant to rejuvenate and restore skin with the unique blend of natural ingredients. The pink color is all natural and comes from the vitamin B12 in the mixture. There are no artificial colors or fragrances.

The main ingredient in this ampoule is the Helichrysum Italicum Flower Water which regenerates and repairs skin and has anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties. The Hydrolyzed Quinoa is a rich plant-based collagen that absorbs deeply into the skin for hydration, firmness, and elasticity.

This ampoule helps combat free radicals to aid in slowing down the aging process decreasing fine lines and wrinkles. The highly concentrated ampoule is meant to be good for all skin types and all ingredients are EWG Green Grade 1.

Note that this is the new reformulated version of this product. It was previously not completely vegan but was reformulated so that it is now. The newer version is more vibrant and a bit thicker from the previous product.

NOTE: Do NOT expose this ampoule to direct sunlight as it may change the color of the product.

When To Use: Morning or evening after cleansing and toning.

My Thoughts: I immediately noted the pink color which is naturally occurring because of the Vitamin B12 present. Though it is heavier than the previous version, it doesn’t feel heavy or sticky once on the skin and patted in. While I love the effects of this product, there is something about the fragrance which I really don’t enjoy. While it doesn’t contain any artificial fragrances, it definitely has a natural sweet or floral scent which I just wasn’t drawn to. That didn’t stop me from finishing the bottle that said however, I won’t purchase any more because of it either. Scents are so fickle and really make or break a product for me.

The ampoule was quickly absorbed into my skin without any tacky residue and I think my skin was more supple after use. I definitely got a hydrated feeling which is why I kept using it even though I wasn’t quite a fan of the aroma. It’s not thick and goes on nice, but I probably won’t repurchase this one.

Where To Buy: You can buy the Urang Pink Everlasting Ampoule on YesStyle.com or on Amazon.com or here on Gmarket.com. If you’re in Korea, you can also get this on Coupang.

Urang Blue Power Ampoule

Urang Blue Power Ampoule Review

What is it? An Ampoule

The Blue Power Ampoule is for troubled or damaged skin. The main ingredient is organic Opuntia Humifusa Flower Extract which helps to strengthen and rebuild the skin’s barrier and protect against irritation caused by pollution. The Opuntia is locally grown in Cheongyang, Korea. Opuntia has strong vitality and can survive cold, harsh extremes. Rich in saponins, polyphenols, magnesium, flavonoids and vitamin C, it boosts the skin’s hydration and elasticity.

The Candeia tree-derived Alpha-bisabolol and German chamomile essential oil both soothe and brighten the skin. The beautiful blue hue is derived naturally from German chamomile as well. Formulated without mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, additives, harmful chemicals or preservatives.

When To Use: Morning or evening after cleansing and toning.

My Thoughts: This ampoule has a lightweight gel like texture but has a very slippery feeling, if that makes any sense. It’s more lightweight than the pink ampoule. It smells of chamomile and lemon balm. It absorbed quickly and didn’t leave any sticky residue or feeling on the skin after use. This one felt great on and definitely gave my skin a refreshed hydrated feeling and look. I liked to use this one in the evening the best and wake up with glowing skin.

Where To Buy: You can buy the  Urang Blue Power Ampoule on Amazon.com or here on YesStyle.com. If you’re in Korea, you can also buy it on Coupang easily.
