Every Single Day: Korean Dramas & Olympic Dreams
Sometimes I forget that I have a front row seat to everything Every Single Day. I assume everyone else knows what they’re up to so seldom write about the band or what my husband is doing with the band. If you follow me on Instagram, then you’ll know that I shared in an Insta-story a bit back that my husband was in the hospital with pneumonia which he basically got because he had bronchitis but was so busy recording and preparing for concerts that he neglected himself. To say he’s been busy is an understatement. That’s not a bad thing when done right though. My husband is a guitarist in…

Every Single Day: Nothing Of It & An Interview
The Korean indie band Every Single Day has released their 6th full length album titled Nothing Of It. Nothing Of It features new songs and also some old favorites that have been re-done or collaborated on. “Tick Tock”, originally from the drama Pasta, the first drama the band wrote and produced music for back in 2010, was reworked with the female vocal styling’s of Lee Sang Yu (이상유) of Rocket Tree (로켓트리). When discussing how they chose the songs to pull from their past, Sung Nam explained that “on the original Pasta OST we thought “Tick Tock” didn’t sound as good as it could so that’s why we chose to give it a make-over on…

Every Single Day: Rocking Out With a New Album
My husband, Jae-oo Jeong, has been super busy lately in the studio with his bandmates jamming and recording new songs as well as collaborating with other bands on old songs for an upcoming sixth album, Nothing of it. To get people pumped, they’ve been releasing a couple digital singles each month for the past two months and will continue to do so for another couple until they release their entire album at the end of November. Dating In Korea: How I Snagged a Korean Musician
Dating in Korea might be a bit different than whatever you’re used to. I’m not sure what you’re used to, but I can say none of it is as romantic as it is in Korean dramas. I think that should be obvious already, but for some reason, a lot of foreign women in Korea don’t seem to get that. Just like American dramas, dating in the US isn’t the same as a drama or as hilarious as in the sitcoms. You can find your partner in Korea, but you might not. Dating in Korea can be different. Here are some things to expect: (This post contains affiliate links, which means…

The video splices together the band and all of the ups and downs in the relationship between the two main characters of the show played by actors Bo Young Lee and Jong Suk Lee. Every Single Day has a busy month ahead of them with concerts around Korea and also in Japan. ESD: Yes, I’m in love
Coinciding with the recent release of their EP Sky Bridge the band Every Single Day also released a new music video for the title track on the album “Yes, I’m in love”. It’s been two years since the release of a CD from this group and even longer for a music video. Their last music video was for “Lucky Day” the title track on their album The Bright Side back in 2008. Their new music video features the guys at a campsite grilling out, swimming and enjoying a weekend away and if you’ve ever wondered what they were like offstage, this is exactly what they’re like. Check it out. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tIGZfcskpRM&w=640&h=480]…

Every Single Day ~ Nap: A Music Video
Every Single Day got together with Woohee (우희) of Dalshabet (달샤벳) to make a fun little video in their music studio featuring their song Nap (낮잠). This song comes off of their new EP Sky Bridge (구름다리) that will be released on September 3rd of this year. It’s been two years since they’ve released a CD under their own name. Of course fans of ESD haven’t been lacking for their catchy beats as they’ve been writing and producing music for TV dramas such as Golden Time, Cheongdamdong Alice and most recently the extremely popular I Hear Your Voice. Here’s a taste of what the music on the EP will sound like.…

Every Single Day Plays @ Jisan World Rock Festival
Love Stage, one of the three stages at Jisan World Rock Festival this year, hadn’t had nearly the crowds that the main stage had leading up to Every Single Day taking the stage at 4:30 but as their time neared and they stepped up to sound check the people emerged. Their set included Echo from the recently popular Korean drama I Hear Your Voice, Lucky Day and Tik Tok from the first drama they wrote and produced music for Pasta and one of the big highlights of the show was Downpour, Sonagi (소나기) in Korean, from Cheongdamdong Alice in which they had the entire audience singing along. They played an acoustic set…

I Hear Your Voice: Musicians and Actors Collide
This week, the number one drama across the country for the past six weeks, I Hear Your Voice (너의목소리가들려) wrapped up production and aired the final episode. The after party for the very popular show was probably as you would expect: very famous people with lesser famous people with a bunch of staff that wanted photos with each one of the famous people. I was in attendance with the music team and let’s be honest, the show would not have been nearly as great without the amazing musical talents of Sung-nam Moon and Jae-oo Jeong of Every Single Day, Sung-hoon Choi of Romantisco, Cha-sik Jung of Rainy Sun, Hee-chan Kang…

ESD Making a New Music Video
Every Single Day, the Korean band responsible for the music on such dramas as Pasta, Golden Time, My Princess and Cheongdamdong Alice are just about to wrap up working on the current very popular SBS drama I Hear Your Voice. To celebrate another very successful drama, ranking number 1 across the country for the last six weeks, they have not only been in the studio recording for the OST, but they’ve also been in front of the camera preparing a brand new music video. They haven’t made a music video in quite awhile and it’s certainly time for a visual reminder of just how great these guys are. Here’s a…

The Busan Rock Festival Rocked My World
Never able to pass up free room and board and backstage passes I went with Jae-oo down to Busan for the annual Busan Rock Festival this past weekend. Every Single Day has played at this festival before, but the crowd this year was bigger than I’d ever seen and that made it all the more fun. Watching Jae-oo perform for hundreds if not thousands of people is amazing. Seeing him in his element doing what he loves… no words. There are so few people that are living and doing what they love and being successful. That’s truly sensational to see. I’m not such a loner backstage anymore as, after attending…

Korean Dramas: “Pasta” Made Me Want To Eat Pasta
If you like Korean dramas or are interested in them, you definitely need to watch “Pasta”. Not only is the drama great, but the soundtrack is great. Produced by the group Every Single Day, the OST is awesome and though I say that with some bias as one of the writers and musicians is my own husband, the drama is worth a watch. This was the band’s debut working on Korean dramas and now they have almost 20 K-dramas under their belt. I would say it was a pretty successful foray into the industry. Pasta has a fun storyline that will make you hungry for pasta every time you sit down…

Sometimes we meet famous people and don’t even know it!: My Princess Korean Drama
Well, I take that back. I did know I was meeting famous people, however, with Korean famous people it’s almost like an oxymoron to me because I don’t really know how famous they are or what their names even are. It’d be nice to know the equivalent American famous person just so I’d have an idea of just how famous they in fact are. Alas, that never happens and I just smile and nod and get shoved into a picture by someone with me. (This post contains affiliate links, which means I receive a certain percentage of a sale if you purchase after clicking at no cost to you. Thank…
