What To Do

The first floor of the LOOX building, which it sits in the basement of, is not at all welcoming as the first floor is relatively vacant and gives off a vibe that the entire building will be closed down for renovation or something soon. The water park though is legit and on a weekday is surprisingly empty. I say surprisingly because even on a weekday, in Seoul, there are still people everywhere so finding an awesome indoor water park that is kid friendly with very few people is amazing.

Sea Lala is actually a water park, sauna and jjimjilbang in one. Have you ever visited a Korean style spa? Make sure you know what to do when you get inside, but a visit is a definite must! The designers tried to give it a Greek feel so there are columns and statues reminiscent of Santorini though you’re in a basement so don’t expect it to be like you’re sitting on the Mediterranean Sea.

There is an area for the kiddos with plastic toys and houses and fountains squirting which our little one found the most fun. There is a deeper pool in the center that leads to a stream pool that circles the area and has various stop-offs in water pavilions and under rainbow beltways.

If you’re interested in kid friendly swimming spots in Seoul, definitely don’t miss an awesome infinity pool over in the World Cup Park’s system. The infinity pool is super budget friendly and has the best views out over the Han River.

There are three soak baths that are filled with various herbal waters and a lap pool to get in some exercise. There’s also a very comfortable steam room. There are lifeguards on duty and slides in varying sizes for different age groups. In the water park area is also a concession stand so you could spend some time there with the family.

It’s not huge, but it is definitely big enough for some fun and without the usual Seoul crowds, it was awesome. The locker rooms, where for obvious reasons there are no pictures allowed, there are areas to get massages and it connects to the nude areas to bathe, shower and soak.

Honestly, I had low expectations and was pleasantly surprised by what you could get here at such a great rate. The rate itself was cheaper for a week day but they also have cheaper tickets available on WeMakePrice and other Korean apps providing goods at a discounted rate. Take the fam and check it out if you’re on the west side of Seoul.

There are loads of kid friendly/ family friendly spots to check out in Seoul, but a lot of cool spots just don’t have any info in English. If you want some ideas, here are some other cool spots to check out with those kiddos looking to have fun.
