Sponsored Post/Video: Traveling To The City Of Dreams
Having been all around the world, I know that there will always be more to see and people to meet. From Asia to Europe, Africa and the Americas, there’s just a never ending adventure to take and I love that. When I was in middle school, I had an opportunity to travel to Vienna with the Kettering Children’s Choir and it was an introduction to the life that I would lead wanderlusting and taking adventures whenever I can.
Vienna holds a very special spot in my life because of that and someday I will surely make it back to the charming city of music in Austria that had a hand in starting it all.
The culture is vibrant and the history palpable. The traditions are many but that doesn’t hold the people back from being right on trend. There’s so much to see from the cultural and historical hot spots to the trendy neighborhoods and more. One spot not to be missed is the MuseumsQuartier which garnered over 4 million visits in 2015 alone. The attraction combines history and art in museums as well as fun with concerts, cafes and restaurants. It is a popular location to meet and also to lounge on some super colorful outdoor furniture known as Enzi. From May 19th until the 21st, the Enzis are being debuted in the Dongdaemun Design Plaza so don’t miss a bit of an introduction to the fun you could have in Vienna.
The MuseumsQuartier is a culture complex that was designed by Ortner&Ortner and encompasses 8 levels of floor space for unique attractions like the Leopold Museum showcasing Austrian artists Klimt, Kokoschka and Gerstl among others. There are two festival halls for larger events and concerts which means if you plan a visit, make sure to check their calendar of events before you go. This is just ONE of the many sites that are worth a visit in the “City of Dreams” as some call it and I sure appreciated the dreams it gave me. Vienna is a gorgeous place to stop. So what are you waiting for? Head there this summer for some fun in the sun.
