January On The Go!

This month, my husband and I celebrated our third anniversary.

We are lucky enough to have a friend that wasn’t too nervous to babysit a 7 week old so, we went out and wined and dined. Two hours of conversation that covered topics that ranged from look where we started, can you believe we have a baby now and led into future dreams and aspirations filled the air. Having been together for 6 years in total from dating to marriage, I’m glad that I can still look at my husband and be so overwhelmed with love that tears well up in my eyes. I’m also pretty happy that when those tears do well up, he’s there to hug me and tell me he loves me just as much. We are incredibly lucky to have each other and I know it.Third Anniversary: Hallie & Jae-oo

I drove down to “our” sushi restaurant. It’s the restaurant we had one of our first dates at and it’s been our go-to restaurant for almost every date night out together. If we’re feeling like we need a romantic night out, that’s our place. We love the staff and they love us. It’s one of those tiny places with just 10 or so seats around the chef who slices and dices the raw fish in front of you. I hadn’t been there since a couple months before the baby was born. Yes, I ate sushi while pregnant. It’s not taboo Korea, thank goodness. When I walked in, the owner rubbed my belly and asked how everything went. I showed her pictures of our babe and she cooed over them just like my own grandmother does. She was so excited to see me and see our healthy little one that she gave me some “service” along with our meal. I wasn’t quite sure what we’d received but when I got it back and out of the bag, my husband told me it was a fish head! Not overly keen to try that but knowing the owner meant well, we put in the fridge to have the next day. I can’t say how surprised I was enough. After it was heated up and we dug in, it was indeed tasty. The marinade it had soaked in was wonderful and the fish was so soft it fell off of the fishy head bones. I definitely wouldn’t have received a fish head back home in a congratulatory sign of giving birth, but here? Sure, why not.

In other news, this blog had a great 2014 and I want to give a big shout out and THANK YOU to all of my readers.2014 total blog views

I appreciate all of the love, likes, comments and support. When I wrapped up 2013, I was pleasantly surprised that my blog had been viewed 24,379 times but this year that number was completely out done and I was astounded. In 2014, the total views came to 167,250. That is a gigantic leap and I really can’t say thank you enough for coming, reading, enjoying and coming back for more. If anyone out there ever has questions or comments, don’t be shy and type away. I love hearing from who is stopping by. ^^
